Vic Grigore — Port Coquitlam Terry Fox Ravens

Vic Grigore, point guard of the Port Coquitlam Terry Fox Ravens, was the hero of the 1994 British Columbia senior boys AAA championship final, scoring 26 points as Terry Fox beat the Richmond Colts 73-66 to win back-to-back provincial titles — only the fourth school ever to repeat as champion.

Grigore had played in only 12 games during the 1993-94 season because of a sore back. In the final he hit the free throws and field goal that tied the game late in the third quarter, then nailed a long three-pointer at the buzzer to knot the score 53-53, and Terry Fox controlled the fourth quarter.

"That's the Vic we had to have to win the B.C. championship," Ravens co-coach Rich Chambers told the Vancouver Province.
