Tim Engelbert — West Vancouver Highlanders

Tim Engelbert, a 6-foot-5 guard with the West Vancouver Highlanders, scored 50 points in a single game at the 1995 British Columbia senior boys AAA basketball tournament, one of the highest single-game totals in the tournament's history.

Engelbert's 50 came in a 99-63 win over the Quesnel Correlieu Clan. He shot 22-for-28 from the floor and added 13 rebounds. His coach, Tom Rippon, told the Vancouver Sun he had pulled Engelbert from the game until the bench told him the guard was two points from the record — "So back in he went" — and Engelbert completed the 50 with an old-fashioned three-point play.

Engelbert, a member of the B.C. under-17 team, added 23 points in West Vancouver's quarter-final against Clearbrook MEI.
