Scott Walton, the 6-foot-8 post of the Pitt Meadows Marauders, produced one of the great scoring runs in B.C. provincial tournament history at the 1992 championships, scoring 37, 37 and 44 points in his first three games.
His 44 points in the semi-final against Vancouver College came with 11 rebounds and 8 blocked shots as Pitt Meadows won 74-73. In the final against St. Michaels he scored 25 — seven short of the 32 he had needed to break the tournament scoring record of 149, set by Richmond's Alan Tait in 1980 — as St. Michaels collapsed its defence on him.
Walton had also starred at the 1991 provincials, scoring 25 against Kamloops and 32 against Belmont.
